Personality: In a lot of ways, Aziraphale is everything an angel is supposed to be. He loves the Earth and the people in it, and he considers his purpose to be protecting them. He typically does a decent job of this, though he can get as impatient and annoyed as anybody else when he feels frustrated.

Aziraphale is in the early stages of shaking off six thousand years of indoctrination. This occasionally causes him to come off as thoughtless; he has a history of casually insulting Crowley in ways that simply don't occur to him as mean, typically in a way that reinforces the status quo - that is, angels are good and demons are evil. He still loves Crowley dearly, and when he finds out that he's hurt him it eats him up inside.
